Heavy Machinery Factory Robotic Arc Welding Automation System Project

Project Overview
EMT customized a robotic automated welding workstation for a large heavy machinery manufacturer. The customer faced challenges with complex welds, unstable manual welding quality and low efficiency when producing excavator and crane chassis. The EMT team tailored an automated welding cell with two EMT-AR1708 arc welding robots and a three-axis servo positioner.
Challenges & Pain Points
- Complex welds with unstable manual welding quality
- Low welding efficiency limiting capacity
- High dust environment harmful to worker health
- Need to achieve capacity doubling target
Our Solution
The EMT technical team customized an automated welding cell with two EMT-AR1708 arc welding robots and a three-axis servo positioner. The robots have 2000mm arm reach, equipped with laser positioning and arc tracking systems to automatically correct weld deviations. Multi-axis coordination ensures optimal flat welding position.
Project Results
Client Testimonial
"EMT arc welding robot system has completely transformed our welding workshop. Welding quality is stable and reliable, efficiency has greatly improved. EMT team was very professional from solution design to installation, and after-sales service is very timely."
